Today I went to the library and picked up a whole bunch of books. I got Fell and Fire Bringer, both by David Clement-Davis, Finding My Place by Traci L. Jones, The Agency: A Spy in the House by Y. S. Lee, and Animal Farm by George Orwell.
I've only started Animal Farm, but they all look great.
Also, school got out for me on the seventh and I can't wait for next year! Also one of my good friends is moving to another state over the summer......... and I'm really sad about that.
Spotsy out.
those look like awesome books (: Animal Farm is great - it's creepy and interesting and pretty darn brilliant! In reply to your comment on my blog:
ReplyDeleteyou misunderstand my intention: i don't mean that i think kids should go out and watch porn and seek inappropriate material just because they can, but what i mean is that i don't see how reading about sex - and the difficulties you face as you have to decide how you feel about it - is a bad thing. personally, i think we should encourage teenagers to be knowing on the subject, and to understand the dynamics of relationships, both sexual and otherwise (:
jenni and i were Pushkin winners in 2011, if i remember correctly. you should ask her - she's better at retaining facts and figures :L i entered a piece called Clockwork, one called Christopher, and one called Mr Valentine Gets a Second Chance: which is, incidentally, one of the Worst Named Stories Of All Time. hint for naming a good story number one: do not, under any circumstances, title a story something which GIVES AWAY THE ENDING OF YOUR STORY. how i won i shall never know. :L
Okay. Thanks for the advice and - what's the word - helping me understand what you were trying to say. It's so cool that you and Jenni won the Pushkin Prize!
